Outside of school, I partner with local bands to develop a brand that authentically communicates who they are. I love the challenge of translating a brand’s core narrative into design that resonates across platforms and mediums.








MAXILLA Logo

Logo redesign for feminist metalist MAXILLA, based in Cleveland, OH. Conveying the visual motif of the dinosaur mascot in the type, creating a bold, jagged style paralleling the music.

I had the opportunity to meet MAXILLA, a Cleveland based metal band, during my time at the Rock Hall and customize the lead singer Haley Cronin’s guitar.  










Family Mystic Album Cover

Family Mystic, a four piece vocal ensemble based in Portland, Oregon, released an album consisting of a 5 volume release for their live shows on Mt. Tabor in 2023. I had the honor of illustrating the Tabor Tooth Tiger for their cover, with 5 different hues for each volume. Utilizing the format of the publication, I decided to highlight the linework and narrow down the palette to two colors for it to look smooth with each hue. I inked traditionally and image traced them in Illustrator- combining multiple drawings to get the best result. I’m grateful I got to capture one of my favorite band’s sound with my art, with one of my favorite methods of illustrating with ink.
